Planning &
Booking

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples reach out 4-8 weeks in advance, especially for City Hall weddings or weekday sessions. That said, I occasionally have last-minute openings—so if your date is coming up soon, don’t hesitate to inquire.

What’s the difference between a storytelling session and a typical couples shoot?

Storytelling sessions are slower and more intentional. Instead of focusing on poses and smiles, we build the session around what feels most like you: a morning walk through the West Village, your Sunday coffee ritual, or a late summer market run. It’s about your connection, not performance.

Do we need to plan everything beforehand?

Not at all. You’ll receive a pre-session questionnaire to help guide what feels true to your relationship, and we’ll hop on a quick call to dream together. The best moments are often the unplanned ones.

Where are you based, and do you travel for weddings or elopements?

I’m a hybrid NYC and Hudson Valley photographer—most of my work happens in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and upstate. I’m also available for domestic or international travel with a custom quote. If you’re planning something outside the city and wondering about travel or potential discounts, feel free to reach out.

NYC Elopements & Intimate Weddings

Can you photograph both our City Hall ceremony and celebration on different days?

Yes, and I love that approach. It allows you to be fully present for both experiences without rushing. I offer packages that honor split-day celebrations with flexibility and intention.

Do you offer short City Hall sessions?

My NYC City Hall wedding coverage starts at 2 hours. That gives us enough time to document your ceremony and take meaningful portraits afterward. Many couples choose 3–4 hours to include family moments, a walk through downtown, or subway shots on the way to lunch. You can learn more about NYC elopement packages.

Where do we take portraits after our City Hall wedding?

Whether you're drawn to quiet corners of the West Village or want something a little more urban, I’ll help you choose a post-ceremony spot that fits your vibe. I have a short list of go-to portrait locations near City Hall, and we’ll always plan around light, mood, and the season. → Explore my top 5 favorite photo spots near NYC City Hall

Do you recommend any small wedding venues in Brooklyn?

Absolutely. From cozy restaurants like F&F Pizza and Vinegar Hill House to stylish spaces like Kru and Montesacro, Brooklyn has so many intimate options. Here’s a full list of the top intimate Brooklyn wedding venues I recommend.

What’s the best time to get married at NYC City Hall?

City Hall is only open on weekdays, and I always recommend booking your ceremony on a Wednesday or Thursday morning between 8–10am. That’s when the light is softest and the lines are shortest. Fridays are typically the busiest. I’ll help you figure out the best timing based on what you want your day to feel like.

Packages, Pricing
& Coverage

We’re planning a wedding on a budget. Do you offer flexible pricing?

All of my collections are designed with small weddings and elopements in mind—they’re built from experience, and rooted in what’s most popular with my couples. While I don’t offer sliding scale pricing, you’re welcome to ask about small customizations. If I’m not the right fit, I’ll gladly send you a trusted referral who might be.

How long does it take to get our gallery?

You’ll receive a teaser gallery within one week. Full galleries are delivered within 6–12 weeks depending on the season and your collection. I’ll keep you updated along the way.

What’s included in your collections?

All wedding and session packages include a mix of digital and film photography, a planning guide, curated vendor recommendations, and access to me for a consults and check-ins. You’ll receive a detailed breakdown when you inquire. Get the Full Pricing Guide here.

Do you offer film photography for NYC elopements or weddings?

Yes! Almost every single collection includes analog 35mm or 120mm film photography—it’s one of my favorite parts of documenting your day. Film adds texture, softness, and nostalgia that digital can’t replicate. I don’t offer video coverage, but I’d be happy to recommend Super 8 filmmakers I love.

Style & Comfort

How do you help us feel comfortable in front of the camera?

I center you in your own rhythm. You’ll never be forced into stiff poses. Instead, I gently guide you with prompts and questions that bring out natural emotion—like, “What’s something they did this week that made you feel loved?” Most couples walk away saying, “That didn’t feel like a photoshoot at all.”

What’s your editing style like?

Natural, honest, and grounded—with a subtle editorial edge. I focus on lasting colors and emotional depth, so your photos look and feel like you. Whether I’m working in digital or film, my edits are meant to preserve the feeling of the moment—true-to-life with a soft, cinematic touch.

The film shots add this dreamy, textured feel that balances out the clean look of digital. It’s like an extra layer of emotion and mood—without making the whole gallery feel too edited or too much.
